Three saplings had grown from our seeds in the peat starter pot.
We found two bigger pots and put some small stones at the bottom
We filled the post with a mixture of compost and soil
pressed it down
watered profusely
topped up with more compost
and mixed thoroughly
Viv gently eased the starter pot soil out
to show lots of nice roots
She teased the saplings apart gently
The tap roots were long - about 9 inches
But first she repotted the smallest sapling in the peat.
She trimmed the tap root at about 3 inches
She used her finger as dibber to make a hole in the new pot earth and put the sapling in.
Then firm down the soil
Do the next one...
Then water them all again
Happy? Then let Dad tidy up...
